New Life, New Town, No Friends...

McKinney, Texas. Lovely McKinney. From the first time I visited I knew I would have no problem moving here. It is peaceful, clean, and contains Forrest Womack (a fellow, whom I happen to adore). Easy choice. I will actually be moving up here after the wedding in October, but every time I visit there seems to be one thing missing. Oh, right. I have no girlfriends here. Being an optimistic sort of girl, I decided to take matters into my own hands and find clubs to join and events to attend in an effort to branch out. Even though I don't live up here quite yet Forrest encouraged me to go to this months meeting of the McKinney Newcomers Club which was on Tuesday. Great Idea! The only problem is that after attending, I found out that they should consider renaming it the McKinney Old Timers Club. I should have known, with activities like 'gardening group' and 'bridge'....sigh. Try, try again! Any ideas on other things I could do to meet someone under forty to hang out with occasionally, before I start hearing Gremlin speak English?

xoxo

Oh, and by the way...those old ladies are nice and I am still considering joining. Who couldn't use an extra granny?

Well, I don't have any friends in McKinney, I do have some friends in Plano I could introduce you to (it's a horrible 20 minute drive away I know LOL!) I can introduce you to some of them when we come up for your wedding shower next month!

I think I'm going to take Ballroom dance in July if you're interested. It's on Tuesday evenings.

Um, I live just a hop, skip, and a jump down 75. What am I? Chopped liver? Wait, don't answer that.

NO! But you have to admit, you live a BIT far for daily visiting. Isn't it about 30 minutes?

You guys should move a little south-er....I hear there are cool people there....some chick called Your Sister...strange name...but I hear she would babysit all of your hundreds of Catholic offspring...cats or human...either way....
